The program can't start because api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll is missing from your computer.

The problem is that the KB2999226 (Universal CRT) which is part of the Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015 failed to install.

 

Solution

1. Install Windows Updates:
   Go to Start - Control Panel - Windows Update
   Check for updates
   Install all available updates.
   After the updates are installed, restart your computer.
   After the restart repeat the steps above again until no more updates are available.
    
2. Download the Visual C++ Redistributable:
   
   For Windows 64-bit
   Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015 (64-bit)For Windows 32-bit
   Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015 (32-bit)
   
3. Run the vcredist_x64.exe (64-bit) or vcredist_x86.exe (32-bit) and select Uninstall
4. Run the .exe again and select Install

How do I unarchive a conversation on Facebook Messenger?

Original question: "How can I view temporarily removed messages from my Facebook inbox?"

Answer: If by "temporarily removed" you mean what FB call "archived", just type in the name of the person you had the conversation with in the search box and it should pop up.  Or send the person a new message; the entire message history should reappear.

Another way: Just Send a Message to that Person and the message will be retrieved

As soon as you login to your profile home page, click on the symbol of messages available on the top task bar of the page. On clicking, a box will appear on screen displaying the list of all the people with whom you had conversations recently.

Move your cursor to the top right corner of the tab of messages and click on the dialogue box labeled as “Search Messages” .Next you will have to type the name of the user whose messages you wish to un-archive.

As you have archived it previously, it will not appear in the list. However proceed with clicking on his name. This will locate the messages for you. Click on the down arrow key on the actions menu.

 This will display all the actions that you could execute there-in. Choose the option “Un-archive” from there. This will unarchive the messages that you have archived previously and again you will be able to see those messages on your Facebook messenger

Bangladesh won by 90 runs against Sri Lanka

BANGLADESH WIN! Their brilliant tour of Sri Lanka continues as they pick up a clinical 90-run win over the hosts. An all-round effort comes to fruition as they take a 1-0 lead in the three-match series, as Sri Lanka slipped to their sixth consecutive loss.

It started off with Tamim Iqbal's brilliant century, along with fifties from Shakib and Sabbir Rahman that gave Bangladesh 325 to defend. Mustafizur, Mortaza and Hasan chipped in to help bowl out Sri Lanka for 234. However, massive credit to Thisara Perera for that fighting knock of 55 off just 35. But it wasn't good enough on the night.

Bangladesh are a different unit and have showcased how good a one-day side they are once again. This is also the first time that they have beaten Sri Lanka when defending. মাইক্রোসফট ও গুগলের সঙ্গেও সরকারের ‘সমঝোতা’

ইন্টারনেটে ‘অনাকাঙ্ক্ষিত বিষয়’ নিয়ে ৪৮ ঘণ্টার মধ্যে প্রতিকার পাওয়ার জন্য ফেইসবুকের পাশাপাশি গুগল ও মাইক্রোসফটের সঙ্গেও সরকারের ‘সমঝোতা’ হয়েছে বলে জানিয়েছেন ডাক ও টেলিযোগাযোগ প্রতিমন্ত্রী তারানা হালিম। রোববার সংসদে এক প্রশ্নের জবাবে প্রতিমন্ত্রী বলেন, “ফেইসবুক, গুগল ও মাইক্রোসফটের সঙ্গে বিশদ আলোচনাপূর্বক সমঝোতা হয়েছে যে, যুক্তিগ্রাহ্য অনাকাঙ্ক্ষিত বিষয়সমূহে সরকারের পক্ষ থেকে যোগাযোগ করা হলে ৪৮ ঘণ্টার মধ্যে তারা প্রতিকারের বিষয়ে উত্তর দেবে।”

 স্বতন্ত্র সদস্য রুস্তম আলী ফরাজীর এক প্রশ্নে সংসদের সামনে এ তথ্য তুলে ধরেন প্রতিমন্ত্রী। দুই বিদেশি নাগরিক হত্যা ও পুলিশের তল্লাশি চৌকিতে হামলার ঘটনার পর জঙ্গি ও সন্ত্রাসীদের যোগাযোগের পথ বন্ধ করার কারণ দেখিয়ে গতবছর ১৮ নভেম্বর থেকে ২২ দিন বাংলাদেশে ফেইসবুক দেখার সুযোগ বন্ধ করে রাখে সরকার। এর আগে পরে বিভিন্ন সময়ে মাইক্রো ব্লগিং সাইট টুইটার এবং ইন্টারনেটে সহজে কথা বলার মাধ্যম স্কাইপ ও ইমো বাংলাদেশে বন্ধ রাখা হয় এই যুক্তিতে যে জঙ্গি ও সন্ত্রাসীরা পুলিশের নজরদারি এড়াতে এসব অ্যাপ ব্যবহার করে নিজেদের মধ্যে যোগাযোগ করছে।

 গত নভেম্বরে ফেইসবুক কর্তৃপক্ষকে চিঠি দিয়ে বাংলাদেশের পরিপ্রেক্ষিতে ফেইসবুকের নানা ‘অপব্যবহার ও নেতিবাচক’ বিষয় তুলে ধরেন ডাক ও টেলিযোগাযোগ প্রতিমন্ত্রী তারানা হালিম। এরপর চলতি বছর জানুয়ারিতে সিঙ্গাপুরে গিয়ে ফেইসবুকের এশিয়া-প্যাসিফিক অঞ্চলের প্রধান কার্যালয়ে বৈঠকও করেন তারা। ওই সফরের পর দেশে ফিরে প্রতিমন্ত্রী বলেছিলেন, সাইবার নিরাপত্তা, নারীর প্রতি অবমাননাসহ বাংলাদেশের প্রচলিত ধর্মীয় ও সামাজিক মূল্যবোধ সাপেক্ষে ফেইসবুক কর্তৃপক্ষ সরকারের অভিযোগ/অনুরোধ বিবেচনার আশ্বাস দিয়েছে।

 এরপর গত এপ্রিলে ফেইসবুক কর্তৃপক্ষ তাদের ষান্মাষিক ‘গভার্নমেন্ট রিকোয়েস্ট রিপোর্ট’ প্রকাশ করলে দেখা যায়, তথ্য চেয়ে বাংলাদেশ সরকারের করা অনুরোধে তারা প্রথমবারের মত সাড়া দিয়েছে। গতবছর জুলাই-ডিসেম্বর সময়ে ১২টি অনুরোধের মাধ্যমে বাংলাদেশ সরকারের পক্ষ থেকে ৩১ জন ব্যবহারকারীর তথ্য চাওয়া হয়েছিল ফেইসবুকের কাছে। এর মধ্যে ১৬ দশমিক ৬৭ শতাংশ তথ্য ফেইসবুক কর্তৃপক্ষ সরকারকে দিয়েছে বলে ওই প্রতিবেদনে জানানো হয়। এর আগে ২০১৩ সালের জানুয়ারি থেকে ২০১৫ সালের জুন পর্যন্ত আড়াই বছরে মোট ৩৭ জন ব্যবহারকারীর তথ্য চেয়ে ফেইসবুক কর্তৃপক্ষের কোনো সাড়া পায়নি বাংলাদেশ সরকার।

 রুস্তম আলী ফরাজীর আরেক প্রশ্নে তারানা হালিম বলেন, “সামাজিক যোগাযোগ মাধ্যমের নিরাপদ ব্যবহার নিশ্চিতকল্পে ফেইসবুক, গুগল ও মাইক্রোসফট এর এশিয়া প্যাসিফিক অঞ্চলের সদরদপ্তরসমূহের সহায়তায় বিটিআরসি ও ল’ এনফোর্সমেন্ট এজেন্সি সংশ্লিষ্ট কর্মকর্তাদের প্রশিক্ষণ ও এ বিষয়ে জনসচেতনা বৃদ্ধির উদ্দেশ্যে প্রয়োজনীয় কার্যক্রম গ্রহণের প্রক্রিয়া চলমান রয়েছে।” নীতিমালা পরিপন্থী ভিডিও সরাবে ইউটিউব সংরক্ষিত আসনের সদস্য ফজিলাতুন নেসা বাপ্পির প্রশ্নের জবাবে তারানা হালিম বলেন, “গুগল কর্তৃক ইউটিউবে নীতিমালা পরিপন্থি ভিডিও সরকারের অনুরোধে বন্ধ করার প্রতিশ্রুতি দিয়েছে।

এছাড়া শিশু পর্নোগ্রাফি রোধ ও এবং সাইবার নিরাপত্তায় মাইক্রোসফটের সাথেও সরকার কাজ করছে।” বঙ্গবন্ধু স্যাটেলাইট প্রসঙ্গে হাবিবুর রহমান মোল্লার প্রশ্নে প্রতিমন্ত্রী তারানা বলেন, বঙ্গবন্ধু-১ স্যাটেলাইটে মোট ৪০টি ট্রান্সপন্ডার থাকবে তারমধ্যে ২০টি বাংলাদেশের জন্য এবং ২০টি দেশের বাইরের জন্য ব্যবহার করা যাবে। এর ফলে ট্রান্সপন্ডার ভাড়া দিয়ে বিদেশি মুদ্রা আয় করা যাবে। রোববার সকাল সাড়ে দশটায় ডেপুটি স্পিকার ফজলে রাব্বী মিয়ার সভাপতিত্বে সংসদের বৈঠক শুরু হলে প্রশ্নোত্তর টেবিলে উপস্থাপন করা হয়।
